Attorney Megan Norris
Experience:
Megan has been licensed to practice law in Wisconsin since the Spring of 2016. For eight years she had her own law firm and practiced primarily in the Kenosha and Racine area. She worked as a Guardian Ad Litem, advocate counsel and third-party neutral (mediator). In 2024 she moved north and began her position as Price County's Corporation Counsel. Moving north has been an adjustment; but well worth it. Megan grew up in Saint Croix County, on the corner of her grandparent's old farm; in many ways moving north was a return to her roots. In 2026 she decided to return to private practice and formed Northwoods Legal LLC.
Megan has represented clients in numerous jury and bench trials. She has "sat in each seat" in those trials; representing the petitioner, respondent, and acting as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL).
Megan currently serves on the Child Law Board with the Wisconsin Bar Association. She wrote a blog post back in October with a refresher of IDEA Basics.
Megan has been married to her husband, Adam for almost ten years. Together they have two elementary aged children. Her family also includes three dogs, two cats, two axolotls, and a betta fish.

Education:
Megan obtained her LLM (master of laws) in family & child law from Loyola University of Chicago, College of Law in 2025. She graduated summa cum laude the same week her son graduated kindergarten. Her thesis project was a Pro se Parent's Guide to CHIPS Cases in Wisconsin.
Megan attended Northern Illinois University (NIU) College of Law, graduating cum laude in 2015. In law school she was involved with the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and the local animal rescue. She continued to work a variety of part-time positions in law school, gaining experience in a variety of areas of the law. After graduation she took and passed both the Illinois (2015) and Wisconsin (2016) bar exams.
Megan obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Ripon College. She was a first-generation college student and majored in history with a minor in business. In undergrad Megan studied abroad for one semester in Saint Petersburg, Russia; participated in a Maymester (mini study abroad) in China; and was an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a Resident Assistant, Economics Departmental Assistant, and held numerous other part-time jobs as a full-time student.
We believe in comprehensive representation, in working with clients to ensure that the best outcome for each case is achieved.
